I did say that June would be exciting, and so far it hasn’t disappointed. The question is, just how much excitement can you take?
So far we’ve had major riots in Turkey, revolution in Syria, financial upheaval across the globe, a few earthquakes of Richter 6, four volcano eruptions across the globe, storms, high winds, floods and tidal extremes..  More than enough excitement for me, thank you very much.
I must warn you that the forthcoming last quarter is arriving with potential for even more, bigger, outrageous excitement.  Don’t blame me though.. I only write what’s already written in the heavens!
As normal, on the 21st June, we have the Summer Solstice.  It occurs on Ibiza at 07.04 on Friday.  A good start to the day!  The Sun rises at 06.30, so there’s 90 minutes for the hippies, Druids, and Sun worshippers to bath in its light before in moves from Gemini into Cancer. That will be the longest day of the year, with the Sun at its highest in the sky. The Druids worship the Sun as the giver of life, and true enough without it we would be mighty mighty cold. They celebrate its highest point in the sky as the King ascending to the highest point on his throne, just as at the winter Solstice on December 21st they celebrate the end of its ‘descent’ and the shortest day. The Solstices (Sol = Sun, stice = stationary) are the two main points in the calendar, and the mid-points between them being the Equinoxes – Vernal in March, and autumnal in September. These are the four ‘quarter days’ I sometimes mention and for thousands of years were the key calendar points. Rental agreements started and ended on quarter days, deadlines were defined by quarter days…. It was THE calendar, universally accepted, and unchangeable.
Solstice also plays an important role for Astrologers too…  The quarter day chart foretells the coming quarter. When we prepare the annual forecast, it tends to be based on the Winter Solstice chart, with amendments added to account for the remaining 3 charts.
So, Solstice on Friday with the energy that it carries. The intensity of emotion and feeling across the world will continue, the sudden shocks to our political world will continue.  There will be an expansion of hidden aggression, with political thinking continuing to be rather foggy.  Things will progress, and there will be changes in each of the areas mentioned....  but mañana….!
The biggest event of the week is the SuperMoon on Sunday 23rd.  Just to remind, the Moon follows an elliptical orbit, and as such moves closer (perigee) or farther (apogee) from the Earth.  Moon affects our tides with alignment of Moon, Sun and Earth affecting the strength of gravity we experience.  The Full Moon on the 23rd at 13.30 sees the Moon and Sun diametrically opposite the Earth, which pulls the Earth egg shaped. However, on this occasion we see the Moon’s orbit closest to the Earth just after noon on the same day!  The pull of the Moon is enhanced, and the Earth’s egg shaped distortion is increased.  Bending the earth’s crust results in cracking and movement.  Volcanos and earthquakes!
Remember the big earthquake at Christchurch NZ? That occurred at a similar occasion – a SuperMoon.  Sadly the warnings given by Guru of Natural Weather forecasting – Kiwi Ken Ring, were pooh poohed by the ‘experts’.  In the aftermath, many people who followed his advice to evacuate to unbuilt areas wrote to newspapers to publicly thank him for their lives saved. Ibiza is not on a fragile part of the planet, so the risk of Earthquake is minimal.  Others may well not be so lucky.  Mars is co-incidently in the mix, stirring up conflict as always, while a Mercury Venus conjunction on the 21st keeps the kettle boiling.
Weatherwise?  Hot as usual, but with the winds continuing.

Well… on then with the other transits as usual:
19 Jun 2013 to 19 Jun 2013 Moon Trine Sun: Today"s accomplishments have a confident feel where what you do matches what you feel and results down the line will move well accordingly. Contacts made now will serve you well, and you won"t have to look back with suspicion or regret. If it feels right, it probably is, so put your best foot forward and follow through.
19 Jun 2013 to 19 Jun 2013 Moon Trine Jupiter: Emotional tides are strong and upbeat, and all you have to do is ride them as if you were born to sail. Foundations laid today will be firm and supportive and continue to evolve that way. Feelings of friendship abound and it"s easy to see the good side of anyone -- just remember there may be other sides, too.
18 Jun 2013 to 21 Jun 2013 Sun Conjunction Jupiter: Bounty and plenty are in the atmosphere to be tapped, and bright prospects are available to those who tune in right now. Overstated enthusiasm may be taken with a grain of salt, but the feeling is right and it"s the perfect thing to build on. For a moment, the triumph of the will seems to be in sight.
19 Jun 2013 to 22 Jun 2013 Mercury Conjunction Venus: This is an ideal time for achievement in arts and letters - whether it"s redecorating, taking great pictures and movies, or doing a makeover. A keen eye for the beautiful is in sharp focus and a strong sense of shape and proportion makes for good judgment in all aspect of design, now and for posterity.
21 Jun 2013 to 22 Jul 2013 Sun Enters Cancer Where free-ranging conversation may have been the order of the day only yesterday, suddenly it"s truth-or-dare which makes people go underground and hesitate to be the first to venture an opinion. An atmosphere of enforced sincerity ushers in a month of raised intensity, higher emotional risk and nervous betting.
23 Jun 2013 to 23 Jun 2013 Moon Opposition Sun: Full Moon brings fruition, but also high emotional tides; what you do now may turn out to have been overdone when you look back on it. Deals sealed now may swing erratically later on, but if kept under control will be fat and fruitful. This is the time for plucking the fruit from the tree, not planting one.
26 Jun 2013 to 16 Jul 2014 Jupiter Enters Cancer: A year of precious projects is ahead, with the general style being to put all eggs in a single basket and circle the wagons to defend it. Things can get intense trying to move forward with this approach, but trying to get people to open up their game may be a challenge. New plans will be personalized, whoever is involved, so let them be, and stroke egos where necessary.
25 Jun 2013 to 27 Jun 2013 Sun Trine Saturn: There"s a certain pleasure in feeling well-grounded, and this moment would make a firm foundation for whatever you choose to build upon it. If your plans are already made, it"s time for the cornerstone to be laid. Go with what you"ve got, as there"s a no-frills feeling that"s saying keep it simple, take it slow.
26 Jun 2013 to 20 Jul 2013 Mercury Stationary Retrograde:  Intense Mercury – crossed wires and words!
25 Jun 2013 to 27 Jun 2013 Sun Trine Neptune: Visions that might otherwise be gossamer fables can take on real substance and efforts initiated today can turn dreams into reality down the road. Your confidence in your own personal imaginings is the right stuff for others to rally around, and a general agreement on inner reality is at hand.
27 Jun 2013 to 22 Jul 2013 Venus Enters Leo: A real party-time element comes to the fore for the next few weeks, and the general taste is for more enjoyment and less restriction on how you get it and who shares it with you. Good taste may not be the description, but if it tastes good, mange down and add a little spice while you"re at it. Life"s a play, play along.
So, there we are for another week, and it looks like being a busy one!
Until next week, blessing of the cosmos be with you.
