Not enough space last week to list all the news that accompanied the days surrounding the SuperMoon of the 6th, but here’s a few extra bits….

But moving swiftly along to the rest of the month
A significant occurrence yesterday (15th) was Venus coming to a halt and turning retrograde. (Watch for Venus high and bright in the western sky after sunset: a sight to behold!) Venus goes back over the same ground until the end of June. Venus is the signifier of beauty, love and wealth, so where wrong turns have been made, here comes the chance to reconsider and optimise direction. After the upheaval in Greek elections, and the €4.5bn bailing out of bank by the Spanish Government which has no money, plus the ‘interesting’ stance of the new French President it looks as though June could be busy.
We should always remember with Venus, a ‘benific’ planet that the three things it represents are somewhat enigmatic. Beauty is in the ‘eye of the beholder’; Love gives happiness and pain in equal measure; Wealth is... simply a reality called perception. A healthy man, poor in pennies seeks ‘wealth in pennies’ while a rich man poor in health also seeks ‘wealth in health’. So what twists and turns shall we experience as Venus the seductress weaves her make-believe?
The retrograde period is also the time when a Planet’s orbit is closest to the Earth, so the intensity is greater. Taureans and Librans whose zodiac signs are ruled by Venus will feel the effect maybe more than others.
The New Moon in Gemini on the 21st suggests innovation and new beginnings…. Time will tell how they will pan out, but maybe the political conundrums now puzzling Europe and the rest of the world will be struck by some new ideas.
The conjunction of Mercury with the Sun suggests a hot intense focus on ideas and communication. Travel and transport too. A transport strike maybe, a ‘day of inaction’.
Further indicators of Mercurial mischief are given on the 30th when Mercury moves square to Mars, while also being parallel. Powerful stroppiness!
On then with the daily transits which affect us all. If your ruling planet is involved, you will probably feel the effect a little more.

20 May 2012 to 21 May 2012 Moon Conjunction Sun: New Moon is the very time for giving up the old and ringing in the new, rebundling your energies into another package. Commitments made now are intense, all-eggs-in-one-basket, but give them time to develop and to get their bearings. Time for laying cornerstones, the walls and rafters come later.
21 May 2012 to 22 May 2012 Mercury Conjunction Jupiter: All kinds of new plans and schemes fill the air, and if you can latch onto one that really works, you can go far. If there is a problem, it is winnowing out the best from the rest and settling on what to do with it. No time for details now, just get the concepts right and lay down big plans for the future.
24 May 2012 to 07 Jun 2012 Mercury Enters Gemini: The coming few weeks will be ideal for wide-range brainstorming, as the general climate is up for more open communications and generally batting ideas around without having to commit to them immediately. There"s a breezy feeling to it, like air running through your hair, freedom of speech at its safest and best.

Great ideas abound, but don"t buy everything you see until you give it a second, cooler look. Everyone can be too close to the subject to realize that what recommends it is only the heat of the moment.

30 May 2012 to 31 May 2012 Mercury Square Mars: The seemingly best ideas can get tangled indeed when they are not implemented correctly, and correcting that can be a tangle in itself. Thrashing things out seems to mark the current environment, and you can join in if you must -- or if you can afford to, sit out the fray on the sidelines and let others spin their wheels.
