News from San JuanRoadsA contract to improve the roads to Portinatx, San Miguel y es Port de San Miguel has been awarded by the Town Hall to Aglomerados Ibiza SA, with a total budget of 365,000€. Work will begin very shortly and has to be completed before the beginning of the summer. The roads will have new asphalt and road signs, including provision for parking spaces. Residents in the Puig de Can Marçŕ area, which gives access to two hotels, the Cartago and Galeón, have been concerned about the slipperiness of the road surface for some time as it is on a steep incline and therefore very dangerous. Also included in the project for this stretch of road are three raised pedestrian crossings, which should help to reduce the speed of vehicles.
